Cinema Eye Honors this Sunday in NYC

If you’re anywhere near New York City this weekend, and if you live/eat/sleep documentary films (and I know you do) you’d better be at the Cinema Eye Honors this Sunday night. The awards recognize outstanding artistic achievements in nonfiction filmmaking, and the attendee list is star-studded: Oscar-winner Man on Wire’s James Marsh and Philippe Petit, Morgan Spurlock, Laurie Anderson, Jehane Noujaim, documentary legends DA Pennebaker and Albert Maysles, and dozens more.

I’ve got one word for you: historic. Be there.
