Limited Editions and Blu-ray Disc!

We’re pleased to announce two limited-edition versions of Objectified designed by our friends over at Build, and the Blu-ray disc edition of the film. Available for pre-order now!

USB Limited Edition
Fixed media? Meh. We’ve put a digital copy of the DVD on a tiny, custom-printed 16gb USB drive. Copy the file to your hard drive, watch the movie, and then use the nice little USB stick for all the things you normally use a USB stick. The anti-static bag is stuffed with five letterpress mini-posters and an Objectified badge designed by Build, plus a color C-print of a still from the film signed by director Gary Hustwit. Each copy also comes with one of the Objectified tote bags by Build. Limited edition of 500 copies, $75. Pre-order now.

DVD Limited Edition
Still using those shiny plastic discs to watch movies? We’ve also made a limited-edition DVD package, including the same letterpress mini-posters, badge, and signed still as the USB version, but with the DVD of the film and extras (NTSC, all-region). Plus the free tote bag. Limited edition of 500 copies, $75. Pre-order now.

Blu-ray Disc
Blu-ray fanatics, we heard you: pre-order the Blu-ray disc and watch the film and extras in their native high-definition format. Each Blu-ray pre-order comes with one of the Objectified tote bags by Build. Pre-order now and save $5 off the retail price of $34.95.

About pre-orders: your credit card will be charged when you place the order, and your copy will ship October 6. Limited-edition and Blu-ray pre-orders cannot be combined with other merchandise.

The “lost” poster

When Michael C. Place and the folks at Build were designing the Objectified film poster, the choice for the final design came down to two versions: one had a metallic silver background with white objects and text, the other had a white background with silver objects and black text. We thought both were beautiful, and we couldn’t make up our minds which one to go with. So after much deliberation we decided that we’d print the silver version first for the United States premiere, and do the white version for the UK and Europe events (pretty decisive, eh?).

Well, the silver colorway sort of took over as the identity of the film, appearing on postcards, adverts, t-shirts, the DVD cover, etc., and we never ended up printing the white version. So we’ve decided to do a limited-edition letterpress print of the “lost” white colorway: metallic black and metallic silver ink, A2 size (16 1/2″ x 23 1/2″) on Crane’s Lettra 300gsm paper, in an edition of 100 numbered copies, $125.
