New York Special Screenings!

Join director Gary Hustwit and designers from the film for preview screenings and post-film Q&A’s at the Visual Arts Theater. Formerly the Chelsea West, SVA’s Visual Arts Theater has undergone an extensive renovation led by legendary designer Milton Glaser. This event is presented in conjunction with the School of Visual Arts, and the MFA Designer as Author, MFA D-Crit, and MFA Interaction Design programs.

Screening update

San Francisco: of the two added shows on April 22nd, the 7pm show is getting close to selling out. Still a fair amount of tickets for the 10pm show though.

Chicago: the event at the Music Box Theatre April 28th is actually getting close to selling out as well… get on it…

Two new events announced, both with Gary Hustwit in attendance:

May 14 at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, Indianapolis, Indiana.
May 15 & 16 at the Wexner Center for the Arts in Columbus, Ohio.

San Francisco: second night added!

Tickets for the first two San Francisco special screenings on April 21st sold out in one day. So a second night has been added, with two new screenings on April 22nd at 7pm & 10pm. Director Gary Hustwit and designers from the film will be in attendance at these shows as well. Tickets go sale tomorrow, Tuesday February 10th, at 12 noon PST. Don’t miss out.

Chris Bangle leaves BMW

Big news in the car design world: Objectified cast member Chris Bangle has left BMW after 16 years as the company’s design chief. “Bangle’s plan to pursue his own design-related endeavours beyond the auto industry marks the start of a new phase in his life while maintaining strong ties with the BMW Group,” BMW said in a statement.
